Co-Creating Africa’s Future, One Community at a Time
The Community Change Labs is a flagship initiative of Shift Leadership Company (SLC) designed to empower young Africans to collaborate, innovate, and lead change in their communities. This pilot edition will bring together bright minds from across Africa to design solutions that address pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges.
About the Program
Across Africa, young leaders are rising with fresh ideas and the passion to transform their communities. What they often lack is a platform to collaborate across borders, access mentorship, and refine their solutions into sustainable initiatives.
The Community Change Labs Pilot is created to fill this gap. Over a 6–8 week virtual program, participants will work in diverse teams to develop innovative, practical, and scalable projects that directly impact their communities.
Program Structure
- Virtual Labs: Interactive sessions and workshops held online.
- Team-Based Work: Participants grouped into teams of 5–7 from different regions.
- Mentorship: Guidance from experienced leaders, innovators, and professionals.
- Capstone Showcase: Teams present their projects to partners, funders, and stakeholders.

Who Can Apply
We are looking for emerging leaders who are:
- Aged 18–35 years.
- Students, entrepreneurs, or young professionals across Africas.
- Passionate about leadership, innovation, and social change.
- Ready to collaborate virtually across cultures and regions.
